"Handcrafter's Gift Gala" held at the Business Development Center, November 6th
Oct 16, 2009Chattanoogans will have an opportunity like no other to directly support their local young businesses while purchasing unique, locally made products. Everyone will be buying directly from the ‘manufacturers’ that make these products through the first annual Handcrafter’s Gift Gala held at the Business Development Center at 100 Cherokee Blvd. Chattanooga TN.
The Handcrafter’s Gift Gala includes products from some of the most promising individuals and products that Chattanooga has to offer. You will have the opportunity to buy chocolate confections from Wendy and Brandon Buckner of The Hot Choclatier, freshly ground all-natural spices from Warren Stanko of Alchemy Spice Co., natural bath, body and home products from Matt and Tiffany Rogers of Everyday Eclectic, handmade furniture using sustainable materials from Aaron Cabeen of Cabeen Originals. Also, experience a high-end photography studio as well as prints by Lesha Patterson, unique handmade jewelry by Marian and Laura Jones of McGowan and McClain, high-end, custom J. Backlund Design guitars and accessories by BML Inc. Drawings will be conducted for various gift baskets utilizing all of the mentioned products.
“We all met one evening and brainstormed how we could offer something to the community while using the great workspaces that we have at the Business Development Center,” Cabeen says. “I have been very encouraged by the rhetoric of our meetings and the ambition that we all have to organize this while running our own businesses. I am glad to have such good folks coming together to do this. We are all very excited about this gala!”
This is a free event, open to the public. Light hors d’oeuvres libations will be served. Come support Chattanooga’s premiere business owners.
